You still have almost a week to get creative, Mages! We know that any time around a holiday can be busy, so we have extended our Halloween contest through the weekend. We have seen a great response to both the Doni and the Halloween sources. We are thrilled to see players enjoying the season, while simultaneously testing the robustness of our servers and our new source collecting feature. So what should you do with all of your newly acquired sources? Get creative! We’re currently running a contest in which the player who makes the best Halloween themed scene/creation will win a World-Building Magic Pack! The winner can keep the prize for themselves or give it to a friend. Entries must only use Conjurus Artefactum. No formas allowed! We want everyone to have a chance at winning!
The World-Building Magic Pack will let you have access to the Composio Architectum ritual which will allow you to, as some have affectionately called it, “have the sparkly stuff on your hands and stuff follows you”. You will be able to use both formas and artefactums to make Architectums, as in these videos. It will also reserve you your very own estate which, in the future, will be your own world in which you can build and keep everything that you make!
There are 3 ways that you can submit to the Halloween contest:
The first is to submit through the forums. You will have to have a forum account in order to access the forums. Once that is done you can submit your screenshot here.
The second way to submit is through our Facebook page. Simply post a screenshot of your creation on our wall and be sure to say that it’s a submission.
The third way to submit your screenshot is to send us a tweet @MageFaireOnline using the hashtag #Halloween. This way we will know that it is a Halloween submission.
So what are you waiting for? Get in there and make something! Good luck and Happy Halloween!
We had some server downtime early last week but now the servers are alive and kicking. We’ve also been told by several players that when they try to start Mage Faire, all they see is a black screen. We are still trying to work out why this happens, but right clicking on Mage Faire and selecting “Run as Administrator” has done a great job at resolving it so far! If you are still having problems running please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
